Storyboarding

February 24, 2010

After many sleepless nights, I finally have a helping hand to continue my first solo debut: A Little Fairytale. I am aiming it on the end of  THIS year. You will see more entries about this project in the future.

The story is about an young model/actor who is slowly discovering a lost memory. That’s in a nutshell. It’s sounds like a bad drama, right? I believe in no matter how cliche or how overdone a theme is, if you can take the story a different turn, you can still make it enjoyable to read.  I am confident storytelling skills.  With almost 50 pages, the pocket is ready for one fourth.

Skip Beat – Angel and Demon

February 22, 2010

How I love that arc! A quick (traced) doodle, by the way.

It has been ages ago, I have traced a picture and still can’t do it right. There is one thing I noticed; the picture from a copied illustration is lifeless, because it’s doesn’t have line weight. Funny.

Work in Process – Dragon mistress

February 21, 2010

I planned on working on the Project Page, but this forgotten picture came in my sight. It was a price for the winning number, a couple years ago. The whole thing was handmade and the details came out out perfectly (you can’t see it on the crappy picture). And I’d learned a few new tricks, ex. salt technique (I’ll show it some other time).

It was so fun making it. I got this new kind of  paper from a friend, so what the heck it was big enough to use it for traditional drawing. And oh my! I have never experience how paper can make a difference. De watercolors blend so smooth and doesn’t even bleed. I felt like working digital. The markers on the paper so evenly, it was like working on the special marker paper. Till now, it was either one: watercolors  blend beautiful, but the makers left ugly stripes OR markers were bright and vivid, but watercolor spread on a ugly strange way. I don’t the brand, my friend neither. Got to go to the local art shop for more details.

I still really like it very much.  To the person who won it: Enjoy it for the rest of your life T__T!

Luckily,  I have saved the line art ;) so I could color it again. Since I am lining now digitally, my heart ache a little when I saw the file. The line art was incredible pixelated, which remind me, the whole line art was made with the mechanical pencil…

Anyhow, Sai is great, so hopefully some watercolor effect can be created in one way or the other.

Working on my blog

February 7, 2010

I am trying to update once in every two days. Well, for now, because it is a bit content-less. The ‘About’ page is online, and with info. If I should tell more about ‘About’, drop me a line. The project page will be heavenly under contruction for the next few days.

An illustration I made on Tsucon:

Footprints of Freedom

February 5, 2010

I was browsing in my MangaWorks folder, where I keep all my doujinshi projects, and Footprint of Freedom popped in my view. The doujinshi was actually completed in 2007; it still needs to be wrap up, but it’s a okay nevertheless. The bad it has never the change to get published. On the other hand, maybe that’s a good thing. I’ve got the feeling that the story was ending too quick. Anyhow take a look, and make sure you read it out loud. Don’t forget to put some sappy music on =P

Hello there ^^/

February 3, 2010

This is my first post on my art blog. My other blog contains a lot of my useless rants of everyday life, so I decide to make another neat one for just displaying my work in progress, projects, sketches and so on. There is not much going here, but hopefully I spice this blog some up and get this blog in my server.

And now sketch of my original characters:
